The BBBC is our once-a-month optional club that’s designed to get students excited about reading! During the member’s lunch and recess period, they will meet with their classmates and parent volunteers to have a lively and entertaining discussion about that month’s book topic. Most grades also incorporate a craft or other fun activity to tie into the book topic as well. It’s a great chance for kids to connect over a sack lunch from home, while learning new techniques on how to sight read, introduce new vocabulary, and overall make grade level reading fun!
BBBC is a free activity for the kids to enjoy with friends while learning in a safe and instructed environment. Also, we do call the BBBC ‘Brown Bag’ for a reason! Please make sure your child has a sack lunch from home the day of the club, but if they need to get hot lunch that day, that’s fine too. Eating is just as important as reading!
